Overall Satisfaction with PagerDuty

The moment something goes sideways, I can rely on PagerDuty to report on spike in user errors. The right people are pulled in seconds, usually before the Slack channel explodes. Timestamps, comments, run books, status updates are all lined up in a chronological order to get a live feed on what's actually going on with the issue.

Pros

  • Issue identification based on spikes in user errors reports
  • Timestamps and comments on the issue in a chronological sequence
  • Live feeds and update tracking of issues
  • Query resolution

Cons

  • Mobile app has scope for improvements
  • Data collection and consolidation
  • Focused space for incident management in a calm state of affairs
  • Tackling emergencies
  • Without an iota of doubt, PagerDuty has largely been beneficial for the organisation
I raise my toast to the constant availability without downtimes which extends beautifully to monitoring integrations themselves. Pulling metrics from infrastructure observability platforms continuously is a key feature of PagerDuty.
PagerDuty is always live connected with our application performance tools, security information and event management feeds, log aggregators and custom homegrown health checks to keep a tab on any future exigencies.

Yes

Are you happy with PagerDuty's feature set?

Yes

Did PagerDuty live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of PagerDuty go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy PagerDuty again?

Yes

Once the PagerDuty incident room opens up, every small detail remains contained in one calm and focused space which is what I always look forward to during emergencies. I can actually follow what happened and why, without reconstructing the story from ten different places.
