Overall Satisfaction with PandaDoc

We use PandaDoc to create proposals for our customers. We also use it to collect the initial deposit to start a project with us. PandaDoc has not only cut the time we spend creating and sending quotes, but it has also become a repository of signed documents that we reference. By allowing our executives access to PandaDoc, we give them a birds-eye view of proposals being sent and reference point for signed contracts. Through an integration with HubSpot, the communication with the customer prior to the quote and follow-ups are also documented.
  • Sending proposals
  • Obtaining e-signatures
  • Mobile proposal creation can be improved
  • Rare instance of customer not receiving proposal via email/went to spam
  • Time savings
  • Faster time to close due to e-signature and Stripe payment integration for collecting initial deposit
Reusable templates are the easiest way to speed up your PandaDoc workflow. This way, we start with a template we created and just customize the price grid, or perhaps delete/add some pages relevant to the quote. PandaDoc's workflow feature is powerful. We use it lightly, but it does help to route signed documents.
We’ve used PandaDoc notifications to realize that sometimes the customer has not opened the proposal. This is useful to prompt us to follow up to determine why—perhaps the email went to spam or maybe the customer missed it. We’ve also used e-signatures by default on all proposals. PandaDoc later added a feature to upload hand-signed documents.
PandaDoc proposals look good, and they are mobile friendly. As a design company, it’s hard for any proposal tool to meet our desires for pixel-perfect positioning and design. On a positive note, PandaDoc’s proposals are mobile friendly, which is a big bonus.
We use the HubSpot Sales integration. It’s helpful, since it records the proposal with the opportunity record in HubSpot. That said, it’s not perfect, and we wish you could remove associations and add them.
PandaDoc is more modern and robust, and it has more integrations.
PandaDoc works well for building modular quotes where there are a few changes needed to each proposal. I would stray away from using it to build one-off quotes, since the design tools are limited. For example, there isn’t drag-and-drop positioning for images. Instead, you need to use a pre-made image layout. That said, PandaDoc is fully mobile responsive, so this minor “limitation” could actually be seen as a feature to ensure proposals are well formatted on mobile devices.
