Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server
We use the Parallels RAS throughout our entire organization. This allows us to work in locations other than our main office (at home or on the road). The RAS and its client provide a secure VPN for remote access.
Pros
- Logging
- Remote Access
Cons
- Client download updates
- Better built-in help
- When we have had internal firewall issues, this has proven to be beneficial.
- Overall cost is fair.
The Parallels Remote Application server has made it easy for clients on any device to access our VMs through remote desktop services. Aside from other PCs, I it works well on tablets and even smart phones.
This has worked across portable and mobile devices such as iPhone, Android phones, iPad tablets and Android tablets across our organization.
We don't utilize multiple different hyper-converged infrastructures. We do user VMWare and it's seamless.
Having robust security is important. Through granular permission policies, multi-factor authentication, encryption, user access control, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) this has provided a solid foundation for us to feel comfortable in our implementation of Parallels Remote Application Server.
