Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server

We have many customers (mostly banks and mortgage companies) who use our software. One of the biggest headaches we have is installing our software on-premises and interacting with different organizations IT departments. Parallels Remote Application Server allows these customers to have access to our Windows applications without needing to install them on their machines, essentially allowing us to host our products and services in the cloud. It reduces our customer's costs and provides our company with another revenue stream.
  • Host applications in the cloud
  • Allow access to applications regardless of platform (Windows/Mac/Linux)
  • Excellent security & access filtering
  • Difficult setup for single sign on
  • IP filtering for customers using Parallels client has some issues (with workarounds)
  • Our customers have had dramatic cost decreases due to no longer needing IT departments to work with our software.
  • We've been able to charge more for our hosting services due to our customers saving money in the long run. Parallels Remote Application Server has more than paid for itself, and the increased income has gone right back into the business.
  • Both our customers and our company have benefited from this transition.
We evaluated Citrix as well as Parallels when we undertook this project, and our research concluded that not only was Parallels much easier to set up and use, but it was much more cost-effective.
Our organization and our customers have absolutely benefited from the ease of use in setting up and delivering applications to end users. Simple access to these applications via HTML5 on any platform has broadened our customer reach and reduced costs for these customers.
Customers' secure access to our applications from any location and on any platform is crucial to our company's future growth. Parallels Remote Application Server has helped make this a reality.
Our company was able to use just HTML5 and RDS to host and distribute our applications. However, it's good to know there are many more technologies that Parallels Remote Application Server supports as our customer base and needs grow.
The banking industry has very stringent rules on data access and Parallels Remote Application Server has been able to exist in this environment without any issues. We use granular permissions, AD accounts/groups, multi-factor authentication, TLS, etc all to create a secure environment for banking applications
For the most part, Parallels Remote Application Server support has been absolutely wonderful and very responsive. The only caveat to that would be one issue that we have with IP filtering for applications when logging in with the Parallels client (not from the browser). We've addressed it with their support team but they've brushed it off and it's still unresolved. We have a work-around for this but it's not a good solution.

Parallels Remote Application Server is ideal for organizations looking to host their applications in the cloud without the need for installing them on client machines and interacting with different IT departments. It's less suited for web applications that are already in the cloud by their nature.
