Overall Satisfaction with Parse.ly

It is used primarily by the Editorial team, but Product and Engineering also monitor Parse.ly. I try to analyze when and why certain articles outperform. It gives us insights into authors and topics that outperform.
  • Real time article performance.
  • Appealing and intuitive visual representations.
  • Content segmentation.
  • Historical analysis.
  • Numbers to do not align with Google Analytics, causing confusion.
  • Would like to be able to customize the moving average.
  • Cannot assess ROI -- would love guidance on how to do that.
Parse.ly does not have an equivalent of Chartbeat's Heads Up Display, which is very useful.

Parse.ly does not compare to GA in terms of historical data.

Well-suited for real-time data of content performance. Less appropriate for analysis of seasonal and historical patterns, does not match numbers on Google Analytics which causes confusion.
