Paylocity is a cut above the rest!
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize many modules currently: Onboarding, Benefits, HR& Payroll, Time& Labor, Community, Data Insights, and Surveys. We are currently looking into adding the LMS learning module and the recruiting module. The Onboarding module has helped our company immensely by streamlining the onboarding process and eliminating so many paper documents that we have had in the past. The Benefits module is another streamliner for us, and I love the file feeds that go directly over to our providers. However, there is still one provider where we need to submit a paper form because they are not capable of the file feed. However, we can still few the employee's election in the Benefits module to aid in the completion of the paper form, which is a great plus from prior years. The Time & Labor module is priceless as well. We have three companies and have chosen to combine all three companies within this module for ease at a glance. We can then transfer each company's times to payroll individually, which is wonderful. Data insights are an excellent tool to chart trends and break those down further by dept. Or another specified group and by time periods as well. I love the multiple reports at your fingertips that you can generate for any specified data criteria as well. We love the Community section as well. Employees can not only award recognitions to their peers, but we post announcements as well, which simplifies the reaching of all employees. HR & Payroll is wonderful, payroll is streamlined, and reporting is great. I love the report writer section where you can create and build/save your own custom reports.
Pros
- Instantly update modules based on say a termination or hire of an employee.
- Have the help/learning knowledge-based section readily available everywhere you go in the system.
- Support! Goodness, to be able to call and have a knowledgeable person on the other end who can help you not only solve a problem but help you and show you how you can do and resolve things on your own. I love it!
Cons
- In Benefits, for mid-year HSA contribution changes, once made, it messes with the total annual amount and causes a problem by reducing the max. Amount when it should not. I have mentioned this issue before, but just recently have had this problem pop up again. I just need to reach out again to the Benefits Dept. at Paylocity, and I'm sure they will get it fixed.

It has provided the opportunity to many of our employees who would not have otherwise engaged at all.
Paylocity supersedes ADP, hands down.
