Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is our primary system for all HR functions: payroll, timekeeping HRIS, Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Performance Management. We believe it allowed us to use one product to address all of our HR technology and recordkeeping needs.
- Payroll Processing.
- Customer service is inconsistent. We never get through to our account manager - ever.
- I get different answer each time I call with a problem. It's annoying and frustrating.
- The systems are inconsistent - no testing environment for Onboarding/Recruiting/Performance Management.
- COBRA is horrible, benefits systems don't talk to each other.
- Paylocity's poor service levels in the development of our PTO policies have INCREASED the time needed to manage the process exponentially and significantly DECREASED HR's credibility in the organization.
- Benefits management is a disaster. We've been working for months on a reimbursement issue with the COBRA team that will result in us changing vendors.
- Payroll processing is efficient and allows for necessary manual adjustments and the need for on-demand payrolls.
Increased efficiency in payroll processing, however, does not integrate well with certain accounting systems (Quickbooks). In reality, the system is extremely complicated. It seems like every time we need to make a configuration change, we have to make it in multiple parts of the system, and no one at Paylocity can tell me where all those systems are. It's like the luck of the draw when you call customer service: sometimes you get someone who knows the system well, and more often, you get someone who knows one piece and has to refer the rest to the tech team, with a promise to update us (which never happens) and which takes days and then they send an email with no detail around the ticket and expect me to remember what the issue was.
Our employees are not interested in these tools. The graphics are somewhat juvenile, and the systems are so limited that they ROI is negligible. Survey Monkey does a far better job with a stronger ROI.
Definitely better than ADP or Paychex, but that's not saying much.
