Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We utilize Paylocity as a true HRIS system. We utilize it for payroll processing, document storage, onboarding, employee experience. We also recently added benefits administration to the suite of products we use Paylocity for.
  • Customer Support. While I have not and typically don’t speak with our actual account exec. Going through the support line is easy and I’m usually connected very quickly.
  • User experience is simple and easy. Employees are able to navigate through the site with little guidance and it’s very intuitive
  • Onboarding is easy to navigate and easily automated.
  • The system can be nitpicky. For example a new hire benefit enrollment won’t automatically open if the employee is pushed through to close to hire date.
  • Sometimes the workflow isn’t simple. I have to make multiple clicks to get to information that should be available on or within the same page.
  • Recent implementation was kind of pain and I felt there should have been more support overall.
  • Lack of LMS provided
  • Streamlined and consistent processes
  • Automating tasks allowed for increased efficiency
  • Additional reporting and data analytics/insights
They’ve allowed for time and energy to be redirected from repetitive administrative tasks to focus more on strategic initiatives such as benefits enhancements, ERGs, and general culture improvements.
We have been utilizing surveys to launch pulse, onboarding, engagement, and general one off surveys. It has been very beneficial in providing data and insight for us to build initiatives on. We have been able to implement a number of new benefits, policies, and rewards that our people actually value, enjoy, and interact with. We also have and utilize Community but I definitely feel as if it has been lacking at this time and am not sure if it's a Paylocity shortcoming or we are not utilizing it fully.
Paylocity was more full-service than Sapling and had better reviews and sales were better than Paycor. At a larger size or more complex workings I would likely go with a different provider.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Good option as a basic, one-stop shop for smaller companies. There is no individualized support but I typically don’t have an issue reaching customer service and getting my issues resolved.

There is a strong lack of flexibility and customization within the system which I can see becoming an issue as we continue to grow.

While I have some issue here and there Paylocity works for us right now and ultimately I’m happy with the decision.
