Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is our HRIS record-keeping system, along with our payroll processor. We use Paylocity to house documents, track time off awards and usage, run reports, post entries to our GL, and gather data for mandatory filings. Paylocity also pays our payroll taxes on our behalf and produces federal and state tax filing documents.
Pros
- adapts to changes in laws
- GL edits and updates are easy
- reporting is agile
- responsive customer service
Cons
- I'd like to be able to edit vacation requests instead of having to cancel and rekey if there's a change in date/time off category
- integrate/standardize the new view with the functions of the old view (some tabs in the new view aren't as functional as the old-- like check history/summary)
- base pricing on per pay vs per active employee
- time saved by referring employees to portal for accessing pay stubs, policies, and time off
- Reduced liability by turning over taxes and filing to Paylocity.
- Historical data in one database
It has helped us move into the 21st century with the employee portal. Gives a good impression to new hires that we are technologically on par with peer employers.
We do not use these tools.
