Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I am a department of 1 for 180 employees over 9 locations. I use Paylocity as an extension of myself when it comes to communicating via the Community portal, onboarding and updating employee records.

Pros

  • Keeping me up to date on current changes to the system and new features
  • Communicating with my client support person. They are quick and easy to get in touch with.

Cons

  • This is more cosmetic but I would like to have the ability to do more with the self service portal and how it looks. Change the background colors, rearrange tiles on the screen and not in another place. Resize the tiles, etc.
  • I would also like the ability to be able to apply multiple attachments on the Community portal. Again, here I would like to add color text, fonts , etc.
  • I wish I could select multiple paychecks to print at once instead of individually
  • I'm only just about two years into using the system and I do get confused on when to use the employee payroll file link versus the employee HR file link. I feel like they need to be combined.
  • I wish we had the ability to add a company intranet link
  • Paylocity wasn't utilized correctly before I came on last year. Now, I have been able to update things, add more features and help relieve the payroll person of this responsibility
  • The Office Manager doesn't have to stay later anymore to do the HR related items
By combining Programmatic with recruiting we have been able to fill positions quicker. We have also received better qualified applicants to choose from.
This is still a work in progress for us. We work each day to get more employees to use the Community Portal. That is why I try to post something there on a daily or weekly basis and offer a prize to the first person that responds.
I used ADP for 20 plus years and became a certified user. I used UKG for two years and now Paylocity. Being an ADP user for so many years I tend to compare its features with others. ADP is by far a superior product but with that comes a superior price tag.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity is well suited when it comes to servicing smaller sized companies. Based on an experience I had earlier this year I am not sure if they could handle the capacity of a larger company.
