Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
As an HR dept of 2 people and with over 1000 employees, we use almost every part of Paylocity. We use the performance area to do, track and remind managers of reviews due. Time and Labor for all the punches and time off requests. Paylocity's benefit suite to help with benefit enrollments through the app very quickly. We use the self service profile to upload most used documents, videos and to communicate changes. Expenses to reimburse employees. Flex spending accounts and COBRA through Payocity. Also recruiting and onboarding to get new applicants and employees. We are a retail gas station chain with subways and Tim Hortons.
Pros
- Reporting - for business and what the Federal gov wants
- Weblink - the ability to work with most any other vendors
- Data insights
Cons
- Reports under Performance
- Tracking under Performance
- We have kept the dept to 2 people, so less overhead due to another hire
- Gives great visibility to the employees so less questions asked
They have helped keep our dept of 2. It is so easy to post a job - hiring under recruiting - to then be brought over to Onboarding and finally hired. There are reminders along the way to help track both sides. Greatly reduced our paper usage. No more paper for reviews, raises, benefits, time off requests, etc.
We use Community a lot to get out important information to our employees. Surveys are great to figure out what our employees need/want from us. Also keeps a bunch of important employment documents and videos.
isolved was fine, but it seemed like we quickly outgrew them. Also they had to update their entire Tax platform and they did not do it correctly, causing our taxes to be filed wrong and late. Their communication was a little lacking and unlike Paylocity - changes were SLOW to come and still had bugs - that just took even longer to fix.
