Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use Paylocity for payroll, benefits, onboarding, time & labor, engagement, communication and reporting. Paylocity makes it very easy for us to track employees ours, time off and to keep in touch via the chat or community page. We run payroll weekly, and the App is very efficient.

Cons
- Paylocity could be a much better job at communicating with existing client when it comes to changes and upgrades to their software or prices.
- Paylocity could do a better job at response turnaround times, I know that the standard is 4 hours, but I hear back from service on average at 5 to 6 hours. So, I often call, the call service is pretty spot on!
- Taking into consideration clients feedback and noting those on their accounts, we often ask to be notified of any pricing structure, but it does not happen. We were told that "we'll try but won't guarantee."
- I have tried many times to connect with the ACA team and I keep getting links to videos. Why can't I just talk to someone so that I can make sure I am doing my part in ensuring compliance?
- Positive: Time management is key and Paylocity makes it easy to approve timecards and process payroll
- Positive: Time off request, easy and fast
- Positive: OE is pretty fast too as we have the option of a dormant selection
- Negative: When we get emails from new account people, we had no idea we were getting
- Negative: Receiving links to video instead of a quick answer
Automated processes save time for everyone and allow for other projects to be completed. On the other hand, when upgrades take place, things get shuffled around a bit, and it may take a few weeks to get around to it, for example, the new payroll, which I love! It requires less steps than the regular one.
We love Community and this is the reason we do not switch to anyone else. We have been approached by competitors that have a very close product, but they do not have community nor peer recognition which we use weekly! I wish surveys would have the option of pie charts, graphs or simple options to see instant results. We get a % but not tallies.
We have looked very closely at Paycom and ADP when I first started here and my familiarity with Paylocity had a huge part in our choice. Paycom is great when it comes to scheduling and payroll, but it is too expensive for what it is, and their salespeople are way too pushy, which does not appeal to most people. ADP was a bit all over the place, as there was no cohesiveness within the services. Every year we get approached but we are set with Paylocity and it works for our Club, plus Community is something we cannot part with!
