Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Payroll, document management, ATS, electronic on-boarding and exits. Etc. Looking to add performance module - just waiting on budget year.
Pros
- Paylocity incorporates many HR functions which allow for staffing and process efficiencies. For example, electronic on-boarding smooths out paperwork, helps validate completion of all requirements, etc.
- The workflow and events management functions create easy management of processes, forms, and requirements. If we are needing to track something for compliance reasons, we can set it up in the system and get notifications, alerts, and reminders.
- Payroll is very easy and fluid. We're able to add reimbursements and integrate into various vendor systems. We can customize many features such as paystubs.
Cons
- I am relatively new, but still trying to get a handle on how to set up the workflow/event reminders.
- The survey responses don't seem to be collected in a way that processes well. I created a simple three question survey to see how an event went (that was super easy), but the results didn't pull out in an easy spreadsheet.
- I have worked in other systems that have a more robust customer support system. I could pick up a phone and get quick support on setting things up. With Paylocity, it appears I have to e-mail someone. Sometimes I just want an immediate answer. (Our department moves fast.)
- Overall we've seen a reduction in manpower hours
- Improved compliance management and reduced errors
- Reduced costs
We are still in the "newlywed" phase with Paylocity, so there is a lot of set up to do before we are truly optimized. I think for us, the opportunity to automate on-boarding and HR Actions has already saved us a great deal of time and energy. I look forward to using Paylocity to automate events/reminders, and manage some of our major compliance functions to eliminate errors.
As an HR department (of two), we've only used the survey feature once. I am looking forward to jumping into the platform for recognition, community and videos as we move forward with optimizations and plans. We do have some employees taking initiative to use those features to congratulate and support each other, which speaks to our supportive and passionate culture!
Similar products. Similar features. For me, the products are on the same level overall. There are pros and cons to each of these systems. Difference might be in what your specific department needs are.
