Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use it for time tracking, training, and HR processes. Creating performance reviews and giving our employees a clear path to success has been invaluable. The ability to easily track non-employee time is also very useful because we utilize a lot of temporary employees. Being in the manufacturing industry, the safety courses and ability to create your own training have been a complete game changer. I can't see us using anything else!

Pros

Cons

  • Not enough training content in spanish.
  • Need to be able to easily switch the site and app language.
  • Creating or editing security roles is too confusing but a needed option for most.
  • The site needs the ability to track non-employee HR and training data.
  • Ability to track progress of safety training.

  • Able to create job specific safety training.
  • Giving employees a clear path to success.
The Paylocity AI tool has been very helpful in quickly finding out how to do any specific process.
It's invaluable. You no longer have to have a giant text group or mail notices. Any company event, birthday, or meeting is all done through Paylocity. Returning to the community to see what was posted has been very helpful.
QuickBooks is not built for employees like Paylocity is. Paylocity empowers employees in numerous ways. It makes it easier for employees to provide a clear path for improving, training, and moving up within a company. As time progresses, we are becoming a more digital society. Therefore, HR, training, and employee development also need to move in that direction.

For manufacturing, OSHA training is often redundant and does not apply to the specific job at hand. Training people needs to be specially tailored to the job, and often, you can't find ready-made training for machines and company processes. The ability to create your own training is a game-changer for safety. I can only see where velocity might not be needed if you have fewer than 10 employees.

Using Paylocity

Most things are pretty straight forward but one needs training to be able to know how to use it to their advantage. It seems there are multiple areas for the same settings. The mobile app has too many limitations. Not enough safety training in spanish.
