Paylocity - a great resource and value
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize Paylocity for timekeeping, processing payroll, streamlining recruitment, assessing employee engagement and managing HR documentation and compliance. We are a small organization that does not have an HR department or dedicated HR specialist. Paylocity's systems provides access to best practices and resources that ensure our HR operations are not only efficient and compliant but can also enhance the employee experience.
Pros
- The user interface for payroll processing is simple and intuitive.
- Onboarding is VERY thorough. It established a high level of confidence for using the system from the start.
- Customer service is excellent. And, the Knowledge Base is great for answering most questions independently.
Cons
- I struggle with the "disconnect" between HR and Time & Labor, where it seems I must enter the same information in two modules.
- Too many report options; it can be difficult to discern which report to use.
- More consistent processes

Paylocity has enabled us to empower employees to manage their personal information and timekeeping, which creates administrative efficiencies and improves the integrity of data. Core processes have also improved recruitment processes by both bringing down the costs, streamlining the process and providing greater consistency for onboarding.
We are just starting to use these features, but enjoy having the communication embedded in our HR platform. Additionally, the survey library is a great resource.
Paylocity is more user friendly, has more/better functionality and excellent customer service.
