Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for everything from payroll onboarding. We use the recruiting system, we use it, it's the app makes it easy for our users to be able to access it from anywhere. So I mean it is definitely a daily use program for us.

Pros and Cons

Pros

I think I like the community feature of it, so it allows team members to connect with one another. We have several at different offices, so it allows them to still feel connected as one, even though they may be at satellite offices. So I think that feature is really nice.

Cons

One of our biggest hurdles is the learning system from it because it doesn't partner with Litmos and so we have to use a separate vendor then to get our learning to our team members before they can start. It doesn't implement with the current onboarding because Paylocity requires team members to be active. They can't be in that pre-hire status, so that's one of our biggest hiccups right now.

Return on Investment

That's a loaded question. That's a big one. I mean the simplicity of the app, being able to put everything in one system. In terms of our onboarding, we onboard anywhere from 40 to 50 new hires a month, and so the app itself has been really beneficial for us. It wasn't something that was as user-friendly when we were with Paylocity before, so I think that's been a big improvement for us.

Paylocity Automated Processes

They've obviously improved it. We manage about 1200 team members, but we have three people in HR and we have four, and then we've got four people in finance, so we do it for everyone. So there's no way that we could process it as efficiently as we do if we didn't have Paylocity.

Paylocity Employee Engagement

We like the community feature. It's one that we didn't necessarily utilize a whole lot in the beginning, but as we're working on retention and things like that, it's been a nice way to connect and just kind of blast things out so that everyone still feels part of the team, even though we're at several different locations. So I like that feature.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it's great for our size. I think since we've switched account managers, we're in an executive tier now. Our customer service has been through the roof now and before it was a really big hiccup for us. And so I think really I don't have any major cons with it because our customer service manager has been so wonderful and so she's helped present ideas to us in ways the program can work that we weren't familiar with. So I think that's really nice. Again, one of our hiccups is the benefits side and the payroll side, not always talking to each other simultaneously or it gives room on the benefits to have duplicate payrolls, duplicate deductions go through because of a timing issue. So that can be cumbersome. We know how watch for it now, but for a long time we didn't understand why it was happening. So I think that part, the benefits and then the payroll side, if they could talk to each other more, that would be an improvement on our end for us.
