Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use the HR & Payroll, Time & Labor, Learning, Surveys, Compensation, Expense, Onboarding, Performance, Recruiting, and Spending Accounts functions in Paylocity. We use Paylocity for everything HR related. Recruiting for employees, then onboarding them completely through Paylocity, the timekeeping through Time & Labor, managing and processing payroll through HR & Payroll, training and development through the Learning module, collecting employee feedback through the Survey module, planning and implementing comp changes through the Compensation module, managing employees expenses both on company credit cards and on personal cards to be reimbursed, and the spending accounts to manage our FSA plan. We were able to go 100% paperless and reduce an incredible amount of administrative labor for both employees and HR by switching to Paylocity. It also is a much better employee experience than Paycor.

Pros

  • The user interface for employees is great making it easy for them to use all functions and access what they need quickly without much help
  • Always improving the platform

Cons

  • Faster support
  • Reduced errors
  • Higher level of compliance - allowing employees to do more (i.e. request time punches versus supervisors just keying in times)
  • Reduces the amount of administrative time - especially for onboarding. What would take 4-6 hours on day one of employment now is all completed PRIOR to the 1st day
Payroll is great - on a normal week it only takes about an hour to process payroll. The only thing that I wish would happen is that you didn't have to transfer the time from time and labor to payroll.
Community has been great with multiple facilities in multiple states, this helps us to communicate with all employees about updates for the company.
We have various age groups and all are able to use it well.
Paycor has terrible customer service. They also lacked the user interface that Paylocity has and the seamlessness it has.
