Pros

  • Ease of import from application to Onboarding
  • Time import to payroll batch
  • Learning - training videos

Cons

  • Capturing signature in Workflow, or documents that need approval
  • Accessibility of non-employee administrator to access functions in Paylocity
  • Expense report notifications and ease of use- this module is lacking compared to others
  • Ability to see timecard from HR/Payroll without having to leave employee profile to view timecard data
  • Learning- better tracking per employee of courses launched, completed, not completed. Not just by title during searching
  • Unable to measure as much time is spent working on correcting Paylocity errors, setting up processing, troubleshooting with Paylocity. Very few processes are working smoothly and would result in an ROI
Unable to get the higher value objectives as the majority of the time for HR/Talent are spent setting up Paylocity and resetting up after changes are made to work the way it should. Most options that you would think would be automated with Paylocity require almost daily verifications and setup.
Very little. Our employees have not embraced Community. Surveys do not work properly to notify when surveys are completed and have not been launched to employees when set to launch.
Ease of use for basic functions requires too much time on maintenance and setup of functions on a daily basis for administrative and HR staff.

Well-suited-- Ease of use for basic functions- search options
Less Appropriate-- set up and variables. We are not IT professionals, and each process requires us to set up our own processes. Assistance from Paylocity to set up pay code, time off codes, and to have them mapped correctly. This has been extremely difficult and often set up inaccurately. Employees who are knowledgeable in payroll laws and how to set up the software needed to ensure accurate payroll compliance.
