Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for our HRIS, payroll, evaluation, timekeeping and so much more. We have had the product for almost nine months now and are still finding and implementing new features with our staff. This month we rolled out the scheduling piece of the Time & Labor Module. In January we are rolling out the journal portion of the performance module. The options within this system are endless.

Pros

  • Paylocity's reporting feature is easy to use and has a lot of standard reports already built for ease of use.
  • Paylocity's Self-Service or Home portal is easy for our employees to use. It is intuitive so things are just hidden down some long path - they are all easy to get to.
  • Paylocity's payroll feature is my favorite. It is simple to make changes throughout multiple days of running payroll.

Cons

  • The benefits feature has been difficult. Part of that was information we provided but my biggest issue is the benefits team doesn't ask for feedback like the HR & Payroll team does.
  • I wish when you are in the time & labor module you could easily click over to the employee's HR record.
  • Paylocity saves us so much time in processing changes, finding reports and just daily use.
  • In addition to time saved, it's allowed us to work on utilizing and streamlining features within Paylocity.
  • The data tracking has made our lives so much better and more accurate in forecasting.
I think Paylocity has automated so many processes for us and in addition houses all the information in one place. Previously we were using so many outside vendors for things and we really aren't anymore. It saves us time, money and streamlines everything for our organization, plus our staff only has to learn one platform instead of multiple.
Community has been a lifesaver for us. We get to post announcements, our newsletter and celebrate our employees accomplishments all in one place. In addition, it tracks all of the recognition which is amazing. We haven't tried video yet but I am sure it is just as awesome as all of the other features.
Paylocity is very intuitive. It is designed with the user in mind. Paylocity is easy to navigate and is logical in placement of things. There are not many long paths to get to something or weird names, it is just simple and straightforward. We could not be happier with it.
In my opinion, isolved was the worst. It wasn't intuitive, running reports was awful and a huge time suck for us. In addition, in our experience, their customer service was horrible. We are still fighting with them about unemployment returns that they were supposed to file from 2023. If you don't stay on top of them about your question - in my experience, you will never hear from them.

The customer service from Paylocity is amazing. In addition, the AI feature that allows you to ask questions and get help before going to customer service is such a time saver. I will note that when I do have to work with customer service they are VERY quick to respond.
