Overall Satisfaction with Piwik
Schaper Software is using Piwik to to analyze the usage of the majority of all projects. Piwik enables me, my associates and my clients to get quick and detailed views on statistics about visitor behaviour and helps finding navigation problems and other issues. The main reason to use Piwik has been the respectful privacy options and the open source concept.
- Great customizable dashboard
- Programming API for manually setting events
- Privacy Features !!! (Data protection complies to German laws )
- Quick and easy access to big statistical data
- Moving single projects from one Piwik installation to another
- Define customized views for clients
- More flexibility and enhancements in eCommerce functionality
- Really fast overview on visits, so you can clearly see with one look, if numbers go down because of technical or other problems
- My clients like the clean and customizable interface
- I really like Piwik, I have a good feeling using it and can totally recommend it!
- On ecommerce sites it gives really fast overviews on real and potential purchases
- Moz,Google Analytics
Moz is not directly a competitor, but it lacked (and still lacks) Piwik integration. Compared with Google Analytics the most important advantage has been the different approach to Privacy, GA has long been not compatible with German law and data is not in your own hands. Second most important is the Presentation of Data. With Piwik I see in one second where I need many clicks with Analytics.

Yes - The Web interface is responsive, while not 100% perfect. There is a useful android app, it gives me all features I need. But the user experience on the real website on a "big screen" is really better.
