Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace

We are using Planview Projectplace as a file sharing and collaboration site. It helps us share information between companies in on place. It is designed to be used for our project team and the customer. To my knowledge, the only language being used is English.
  • Planview provides many different ways to share information.
  • Planview is customizable to the project.
  • Planview is easy to use.
  • Plan view allows any type of naming convention allowing for everyone to upload things This can cause disorganization.
  • It can be difficult to find things if the plan rooms have all been set up in different spots.
  • It provided a platform to communicate with the customer in a way that was easy for them.
SharePoint seems to be a bit more userfriendly and more organizationally driven in comparison to project place.
I believe it is well suited for construction, and file sharing. However, it can feel clunky when it comes to uploading items and organizing things. It is helpful that you are able to upload so much information to one site, but it seems that things could potentially get lost easily if an organization is not set up well from the get-go.

Using Planview Projectplace

Project management and support staff.
  • Project Management
  • Document Management
  • Customer communication
  • We are using Planview Projectplace by request of the client.
  • We are able to share documents and send messages pertaining to those docs.
The functionality is clunky and can become cluttered at times. Having to devise a standard and no way to implement it thorugh the software is a challenge.
