Thoughts on Procore from a Project Engineer
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is being used as our construction management software. We use it across the whole company for many different divisions of our construction teams. While we currently do not utilize the accounting functions of Procore, we do use all other functions. It is a great source for our field personnel to be able to communicate and document what is happening daily in the field from the ease of their phones! The forms that are generated from Procore are professional and the standardization is also a plus.
Pros
- Procore is great at being able to fill our daily reports from the field!
- Procore is great at allowing you to send large file documents to subcontractors/clients without having to use Dropbox or other sites like that.
- Procore is great at training a company how to not only use the program but fully utilize all its potential.
- Procore is great at plan management. It allows you to mark up plans with ease from a computer and from a phone or tablet.
Cons
- Procore does not allow you to add phases to a budget.
- Adding people to a project directory is a little time consuming.
- Procore does not allow you to pull up company user reports to see graphs and charts on top users and who is using what functions.
- Procore has brought a positive impact by bringing in a standardization to how many the paper flow on a job.
