Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is used across our company. The interface is reasonably intuitive and easy to use, and there is not too steep of a learning curve to start using it on a basic level. There are some features that are still lacking, but overall this an excellent document management system and provides a great deal of benefit.

Pros

  • Document Management.
  • Accountability within organization as well as with subs and suppliers.
  • Support is very responsive, and it's obvious that procore cares about their customers.

Cons

  • Budget tools are too under-featured to fully implement.
  • Email notifications are overwhelming for many users.
  • Sometimes it seems obvious that Procore is new to the game, but I expect this will improve as time goes on.

I work almost exclusively in Procore, but have used Sage to some extent. We are stuck doing some things in Sage, especially accounting, until Procore adds additional functionality, but in the areas we have moved to Procore, it is not even a competition. Procore is vastly easier and less time consuming to use, and that is not considering all of the additional features and benefits that come along with it.
There is lot that procore does very well. It's great for handling contracts, and communications. It's a big time saver compared to the old way of doing things, and having a clear and accessible record of communication and changes made has made big improvements to accountability. Some PM's preferred working in other programs for things like submittals, but they are often impressed with the ease of which they are able to do many other things. Right now it is lacking too much to utilize for budget/accounting and compliance management.
