Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is being used company-wide. Everyone from the construction management team, field team, service division, and the accounting group is currently using Procore along with other software. Currently Procore addresses problems with communication, document storage and being able to see the productivity of the team members on a project. It has been incredibly useful and has made us a better construction group.
Pros
- Keeping track of all purchase orders and subcontracts within a project in the Commitments Tool. Project team members have access to these documents and can see what is being purchased and have access to the contract documents for Subcontractors, which helps clarify the scope of work.
- Submittals, specs, and drawings access. It is incredibly important for the team members to have unlimited access to these documents. Having them available online and at the touch of a button really helps.
- Coordination of submittals between vendors and engineers. The submittal process is so much easier and faster. Submittals are processed efficiently and there is no double entering or creating extra logs to track the submittal process.
Cons
- Currently, Procore is syncing with Sage 100, which is our current accounting software. There are quite a few items that need to be worked on within the Sage 100 sync. We have been experiencing a lot of accounting issues with costs, cost codes and change orders.
- More up to date training videos. Procore is constantly improving their programs, and the monthly updates do help, but the training videos need to be updated as well.
- More mark-up options for the drawings and PDF documents would be greatly beneficial.
We have absolutely benefited from Procore enabling collaboration between various Project stakeholders such as owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors. Being able to create a transmittal and directly send the transmittal and related documents all in one email has made us more efficient in sending important documents such as pay applications, various project reports, etc.
Also, being able to send submittals directly to the Engineer and have them review the submittal on Procore has streamlined our processes and makes getting responses much quicker. Also, we love hearing that our Engineers, Subs, and vendors are already familiar with Procore.

- Saved Time - Communication is much more efficient and easier to keep track of.
- Saved Paper - Our company is currently trying to go as paperless as possible. Having all documents available online and being able to send/receive/store documents online has helped tremendously.
- Increased Efficiency - Field productivity and office productivity have increased greatly. It's so much quicker and easier to send communication, submittals, schedules, daily reports, invoices, and more through Procore. It has really streamlined our processes.
