Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

We use Prophix to house large sets of data so that we can easily manipulate that data into excel-like formats. We then use those formatted pulls to export to excel and build budget and forecasting reports outside of Prophix with tools such as PowerBI. Prophix makes house ledger data easy, obtainable, and readable. Another positive is that Prophix is well set-up to be used by a large amount of users with difference access and use cases.

Prophix has helped the company spend much less time manipulating data in excel to find the correct formats if we were to data dump from say a general ledger. Prophix easily lets you create sort of a pivot table inside the software so that you can directly export that in an excel-like format.

  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
SSMS was used at my previous employer to pull data directly from SQL based server and manipulate that data through tables or "views" so that we could query that data into PowerBI. Prophix makes it much easier in the fact that you can create pivot table-like formats to easily export from the software, unlike SSMS where you need to write code-like lines to manipulate the data.
Prophix, in our use-case, is used to take our general ledger data and house it somewhere where we can easily manipulate said data and create easy to use formats for applications such as excel or PowerBI. It does a particular good job at that. Prophix makes it easy to build reports inside the software so that we do not need to keep running the same data-sets.

Prophix helps us streamline our close process through ease of reporting. Sorting, categorizing, manipulating and pulling data views has never been easier!
Our use of Prophix is strictly Finance related unfortunately.
I wasn't envolved in the sales process, I started using the software much later. But my first interaction was overwhelming, but quickly found that Prophix was actually very easy to learn and intuitive enough to continue learning on my own.
