Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

Even when I need an upgrade or help the support is always easy to access and quick.
The Pure Storage FlashArray is used across the whole organisation. It allows us to have a high performance application running on it and allows us to compress data and obtain additional storage.

Pros

  • Performance across BI Reporting Tools
  • Compression of our ERP system
  • Integrates nicely with VMware
  • Snap shots of LUNs at storage level

Cons

  • Price
  • More data compression
  • Negative Impact is the price of the array
  • Positive impact is that you get a controller refresh every 3 years
  • Compress of Data
  • Abilitiy to use the smarts to create DEV, TEST and PROD enviroments
  • Pure is well suited for data compression and high performance IOPs tasks
  • Less appropriate as second tier storage (Images, PDFs etc.)
