Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

My division uses QuickBase for a variety of uses across multiple divisions to gather, review and correlate data into quick easily digestible information for our management teams.
  • Quickbase is very user friendly
  • Requires low levels of technical skill to get started
  • Scales in usefulness to the users technical aptitude.
  • Limited reporting
Quickbase applications are incredibly easy to get started if you have a clear goal and a basic understanding of database structure. This has allowed us to build multiple applications to fit a variety of quick responses needed for business needs.
Before using quickbase we primarily used Microsoft Access databases for our quick turn around projects, and QuickBase's secure web based platform resolved a lot of our access on our corporate server issues.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
Quickbase's user interface is easy to pick up and use for an entry level developer, and scales in complexity to the skill level of the user allowing more intricate work for those capable of doing so.
Our applications are constantly in development to meet our users' needs, quickbase offers sandbox capability with higher access tiers, however you are also able to make live update changes on the fly.
QuickBase works well for gathering and connecting data, and displaying it in their UI, but it is limited when trying to get that data back out in usable formats.

Pipeline and Governance

  • Excel
We utilized a third party vendor that creates a odbc connection that worked quite well
We are able to utilize industry standard best practices for security via quickbase. But am not able to discuss them further
