Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase

We use Quickbase to store and manage practically all of our data. I spend 90% of my day managing our Quickbase system, and although it does have its limitations, it is fantastic to easily store any data that we need. Quickbase does not have a steep learning curve making it easy to quickly build a new useful app in an efficient manner.
  • Quickly create useful apps.
  • Low learning curve.
  • Easy to manage large amounts of data.
  • Slow to deliver on promised updates.
  • Integration of code.
  • Data limits.

Do you think Quickbase delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Quickbase's feature set?

Yes

Did Quickbase live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Quickbase go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Quickbase again?

Yes

  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
All of these outcomes are possible with Quickbase and have been used for these reasons. Being able to build efficient apps that all staff can use and creating relevant reports that are easily read and digested have been positive outcomes of using Quickbase.
Yes. I have personally built functioning apps in a very short amount of time. This is a huge plus of Quickbase, and the ability to go from nothing to a deployed app in a relatively short timeframe is paramount to success. Maintaining the app after it is deployed is fairly straightforward and manageable.
It is not completely straightforward for a citizen developer with no experience at all to build a fully functional app, but it is not impossible. With the massive amounts of documentation, blogs, community posts, training videos, and other helpful tips and tricks, it is possible to build apps without previous technical experience. With higher-level integrations such as APIs and webhooks, it will be very difficult for someone without experience, but these are not always necessary to build an app.
I update and maintain Quickbase apps all day, and it is a fairly straightforward process. Quickbase has its flaws, but maintaining existing apps is very manageable. Documenting the process of building and updating the app is extremely important. With good documentation, it is much easier for multiple members to maintain an application, but without any documentation, it can be difficult to jump in to maintain other people's work.
Well suited to track large amounts of data across a number of tables. Table-to-table relationships make organizing data simple and straightforward. It is a flexible framework that can be customized and adapted for a number of business needs. High-level integrations such as pipelines, APIs, and webhooks can be difficult to implement for the citizen developer. However, Quickbase does have fairly decent documentation and a great community that is always willing to help.
