Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Quickbooks Enterprise is being used across our entire organization as a tool to integrate our accounting, payroll, and inventory system. We currently integrate it with our manufacturing ERP software to create a unified solution that allows us to see across each area of our business. It allowed us to consolidate several Excel workbooks and outside services into a single area where all the relevant information could be obtained.
- AR/AP is perfect for small to medium businesses.
- Payroll integration allows us to do our own payroll in house.
- Reporting is the best you can get without learning Crystal or SQL.
- Inventory can get tricky for manufacturing companies with complex assemblies or lots of single run products.
- Database errors have been common and integrated tools do not always fix the problem.
- User permissions are lacking compared to the competition.
- We have completely moved payroll in-house saving us thousands and giving us control over a vital part of our business.
- Managers who are not as financially literate can be guided by the software and reports to see the information they need without assistance.

It only fails in small areas for companies in unique areas of business like fabrication shops, job shops, or custom creators making one of a kind products. There focus on making it easy to find what you need even if you aren't trained in accounting is perfect for small office staff who don't have the resources for a dedicated accounting/HR/inventory staff.
