Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT

As we have recently upgraded to RE NXT, we are using it solely within our Foundation Operations. The Executive Director utilises the NXT portion to manage prospects through to stewardship and fulfillment of honouring our donors.
Our database manager is utilising more of the RE database side of things.
As we move forward in our knowledge and comfort with RE NXT, we are going to have our Solicitors add in their prospects and actions.
Our biggest gain so far is the user-friendly, visual of my prospects and opportunities. I am more apt to add in my actions when I can simply do it from the dashboard.
It is incredibly helpful for me as an ED, to pull statistics and analytics to assess where we are excelling, and where there are huge opportunities to be gained through an easy-to-use interface.
  • Highlights opportunities and a clear visual of overdue actions or prospects/donors that require our attention. Simply, they remind me and compel me to take action to move my prospects forward.
  • User-friendly way to pull information from my database. Eg: Query all Pledges and Pledge Payments in the last quarter.
  • Analyse functionality at my finger tips without having to know how to query in the database. User language that allows us to get the information we need.
  • Add common functionality to the dashboard.
  • Saving "Lists" is not intuitive, and I can never find them after I've spent the time to create and save. Not saving?
  • I am new to RE NXT, and will likely have more feedback product with more usage.

We are in the process of achieving operational efficiency. We are also implementing FE NXT at the same time.
My stewardship of donors has already improved with the "Needs Attention" area.
I am extremely excited to learn the power of NXT and give my board data that they can relate to, and data that will guide their decisions.
All, with reduced costs.
As previously indicated, we are in the throws of implementing FE NXT to complement our efforts to be (to name a few):

These integrated solutions have given us the tools to create a simple, seamless and convenient User Experience. Less clicks, ability to pay with Credit Card create an environment for easy and higher levels of giving.
We previously were using Frontstream for our online donations. Although the demo was slick, set up and implementation were challenging. At the time we implemented, I was not assigned a Customer Service Representative... I felt on my own, as opposed to guided to understand.
Creating the Excel to be exported was painful and this process would take hours. The first time took me an entire day of back and forth with support.
RE NXT is perfect for:
  • Fundraisers
  • Solicitors
  • Executive Directors
  • Board Executives
Moving forward, I will have our Solicitors set up to add their prospects and contact information. It will be a much easier and accurate way to track their progress and actions.
NXT is great for people that aren't well versed in Access Database or our older solicitors that aren't as technically savvy.

Our database manager does not use NXT yet, as she is used to working in the Database view and with the way the functionality works there.

We outsourced implementation.
This was decided as we wanted a customised approach from people who understand how to approach from a behavioural and culture perspective.
That way, I was given extremely tailored implementation and training to answer our pain points.
Honestly, Blackbaud did an incredible job of migrating our data quickly and got us up and running in an impressive time.

Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - How to input the data, and what fields to use so that our reports would have the detail and accuracy my Board was expecting.
