Hotel Sorrento uses Revinate to monitor our reviews and send out email campaigns to our email list. We are able to generate brand.com traffic with the marketing side of Revinate and keep track of feedback from our guests on the Reputation side.
Pros
- The audience segmentation is excellent. I use this the most since I create targeted, segmented campaigns.
- Ease of use if you have experience with other email platforms.
- Analytics reporting.
Cons
- The email design area is a little cumbersome at times.
- I wish there was a way to create Landing Pages linked to automations like Mailchimp has, that I could then add to our website via HTML code or integration.
- I wish I could integrate Revinate with Facebook Ads so I could optimize my lead gen efforts.
- Our ROI with Revinate has helped us take back some of our OTA revenue, and for the first time ever, our brand.com revenue outpaced our OTA revenue, due to our email campaigns. We are a small indie hotel and this is crucial for us.
Revinate lacks some features Mailchimp offers for a seasoned digital marketer. I have 10+ years of experience and I use both Mailchimp and Revinate for Hotel Sorrento because Mailchimp allows me to automate sending an email when someone signs up, attach a Facebook Pixel for lead gen tracking, create Landing Page, offers more fonts and style customizations, and allows me to control our domain via DNS so we end up in less spam/junk folders. I can also integrate Mailchimp into more tools than Revinate, i.e. ManyChat, Facebook Ads, Squarespace, etc.
