Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

Rippling is the interface for employee onboarding, training (e.g., sexual harassment training), payroll management, and PTO for an organization of 40-50 people. In general, we use Rippling for as much as possible - the first step for deploying any new HR function is seeing if it can be integrated with or done through Rippling.

Pros

  • Intuitive and streamlined interface for employee onboarding.
  • Easy access to coworker PTO calendar and other contact information.
  • All hiring, tax, and other HR related documents readily available for employees.

Cons

  • PTO calendar exports as a large list of events added to and polluting personal calendar, rather than as a shared calendar which I can activate/deactivate as necessary. It is also a one-time export, so new PTO requests aren't reflected on my calendar.
  • Login on mobile app can be unreliable and sometimes enters authentication loops.
  • Healthcare/insurance integration is barebones, employees must fill many fields themselves.
  • Individual contributor reviewing from the perspective of a recent hire using Rippling for onboarding and personal information management, no access to higher-level business objectives/metrics

Yes

Mobile app has sometimes entered authentication loops, but this happens relatively rarely. Rippling is otherwise very usable and I have not had any problems with it as an individual employee.
From an employee perspective, Rippling works well for our smaller and relatively young company as a unified interface for HR management as internal processes are flexible and can be aligned with what Rippling supports. However, I imagine it would be less suitable for larger companies with more specific needs that may not be easily supported in Rippling.
