Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

I wanted Rippling to be the one place where all HR data is kept, rather than me having to maintain efiles for all the staff. I wanted the data in Rippling to be searchable and be able to send auto notifications when various key moments needed to happen. (like renewing first aid training etc)

Pros

  • Applying for leave
  • Approving leave
  • Adding leave to the payroll

Cons

  • Managers need to be able to have oversight of indirect reports
  • There need to be better fields to capture data about employees, like their working with children check
  • I need to be able to export a whole-of-organisation leave calendar and share it with staff
  • I want to be able to set up a performance appraisal process and fiddle around with it and test it before it goes 'live' and starts bombarding staff inboxes
  • So far Rippling hasn't created the space and efficiency I expected it would in my role

Because I have felt really confused and befuddled setting up things that I thought would be easy, like our performance review process. In my opinion, knowing where to go for support hasn't been straightforward or productive either. I feel I am going to have to spend a whole lot of dedicated time configuring Rippling so it works how I want it to - and I didn't think that I'd need to do that once implementation had concluded.
Rippling is suited well to processing leave, from employees applying for it, to supervisors approving it, and to the flow-through to payroll.
Rippling does not seem to be a place where I can store all employee data and documents without fiddling around and setting up specific fields.
Rippling does not seem to be able to easily configure things like notifications when first aid training or similar expires and needs re-doing.
