Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik
Rubrik is being phased in to replace the current legacy tape backup system. The solution will backup all workloads including, NAS, VMWare, HyperV, Nutanix AHV & SQL. The legacy backup solution could not backup Nutanix AHV which is the current hypervisor of choice. By using Rubrik we have managed to bring backup times down from 23 hours to 30 mins.

- Direct to cloud for backup.
- RBAC needs some work
- NAS backup is stil complicated
- No bare metal support
- Large reduction in cost over tape maintenance and storage.
- For ROI and ease of use much better.
- Druva was simple as no on-prem appliance but very cost prohibitive due to being all cloud hosted.
- Data Domain had strong points, but needed a lot of hardware and software components to get everything we needed. It also could not backup AHV/NetBackup wasn't able to backup AHV. Rubrik offered a simple appliance approach which was easy to plug in and backup!
