Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

Help desk and Chat box. I highly recommend the Help Desk but I found the Chat box to be pretty useless
I use RUN Powered by ADP® for my payroll for seven companies. Every employee gets paid twice a month and each employee has unique deductions across two states. The nice thing is that RUN Powered by ADP® allows me to address all these needs in one place. This allows me efficiency and expediency. And after a year I have had only one problem and that was my fault.

Pros

  • They have fail safe questions to make sure you aren't making mistakes
  • They have a report generator that enables me to tailor the payroll reports for easy processing into my accounting files
  • They enable me to pay bonuses without elaborate spreadsheets.

Cons

  • The only item that they can improve is notification ability whenever they debit or credit my bank accounts
  • Less payroll errors and therefore happier employees who are becoming more trusting of their pay checks (not worrying about double checking all the figures like we used to have to).
We like the access and the ability to access the information the day before payroll so that we can budget our upcoming expenses.
Yes I save time by doing payroll myself versus reporting payroll to a third party and then rechecking to make sure the third party was accurate.
I do not use the mobile app.
We use to use Payroll Matters but it was a husband and wife team and, in my experience, they were starting to make too many mistakes and causing me to spend too much time checking up on them and unhappy employees. With the switch, I have editing power and the ability to control payroll at the tip of my fingers which has resulted in happier employees

I can only think of one specific scenario where I needed to pay bonuses but had to gross up taxes so that the bonuses would be even dollar amounts. I was close to doing it myself but had to call the Help line and they were excellent in walking me through the process so that I was done with all seven of my stores in less than 2 hours.

Just happened two weeks ago when I entered the hours incorrectly for my two employees. ADP helped me delete the payroll and issue the corrected payroll all with one phone call.
Always resolve my issues with one call. I am not a fan of the automated phone operator. That could be improved.
