Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

I've used the employee handbook wizard, but don't need it in as an ongoing subscription. If it were priced more reasonably, I probably would keep it as part of my annual subscription, but it's mostly wasted for my small business. I would love to try the recruiting tools, but find them too expensive to justify.
We have a small not for profit with 8 employees in 8 states, and no HR professional. Keeping track of payroll compliance issues in all those states would be a huge administrative burden.

Cons

  • It can be difficult to find the right report.
  • It also is sometimes unclear why only some state unemployment tax and workers' compensation are collected.
  • The handbook feature is a nightmare to weed through to find particular information we want to carry forward for a NFP without a physical work location.
  • Salary savings; I don't need a HR person thanks to RUN.
  • I am confident that I won't be hit by unexpected tax bills!
With employees having access to their own user data inside RUN Powered by ADP makes it so that I have to do much less administrative maintenance. They can set their own 401(k) percentage allocation, update their address and other personal information, and check their pay stubs and PTO balances on their own. It's a huge timesaver.
I selected RUN Powered by ADP because of ADP's strong reputation in the workplace and personal experience on the non-HR side as a user in the past. Getting RUN set up was mostly painless. The pain points were centered around setting up the various taxes in different states and setting up a 401(k) program, but the ADP support team helped us get where we needed to be.

The RUN Powered by ADP platform has made payroll compliance easy for a small organization with only remote employees in multiple locations. Without ADP it would require a huge allocation of staff time to track changing requirements in different states. It also makes end of year payroll and W-2 processing simple, clear, and straightforward.
