Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RUN Powered by ADP® for our companies semi-monthly payroll as well as pulling the payroll JE's for our clients which allows us to provide our clients weekly financials.

Return on Investment

When we were a Wholesale account we tried to bring every client over to RUN Powered by ADP® payroll which added directly to our bottom line.
When we moved to a different payroll provider they were so bad at most things payroll and cost us money which had us coming back to RUN Powered by ADP®'s trusted platform bringing all of our clients with us.
When we decided to discontinue the payroll portion of our business which had nothing to do with RUN Powered by ADP®. ADP still paid us a small commission for all of our clients that transitioned from wholesale to retail. That is unheard of for other payroll platforms.

The self service is amazing. Saving HR the time it would take to make changes if they had to update everything themselves. The ability to access your own account lets you update your address, make changes to your withholding, even update bank information. Plus you get the added benefit of having copies of all your paystubs at your fingertips as well as your year end documents.

Time Saving Features

The tax interface cuts down more work than one can imagine. RUN Powered by ADP® ensures that all the necessary documents are not only files but filed on time.

Alternatives Considered

Toast Payroll & Team Management

We switched from RUN Powered by ADP® to Toast and then switched back to RUN Powered by ADP® a year later. This was before Toast purchased the company stratex but at the time the other company had some major issues with the tax filing. But this was also in 2020 when COVID changed everything.

Likelihood to Recommend

RUN is perfect for the small company that has just a handful of employees and with not a lot of payroll knowledge. However if you have very complicated PTO policies, multiple company groups or more then one location with a shared FEIN RUN Powered by ADP® still does a great job but you would want to consider a different ADP platform. Also if you want a great workers compensation policy I would suggest trying ADP work comp pay as you go. As this gets calculated with every payroll so no additional reporting anywhere. Another great integrated product is the retirement packages that are offered again ADP handles all of the setup and payments with no additional work on the clients end of things.
