Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is used by our Billing and GL Accounting team. We have a custom integration between Salesforce & Sage Intacct to facilitate billing from Opportunities, and also an integration with Adaptive Insights for FP&A reporting. Sage Intacct allows for maintaining financial records and issuing 3000+ invoices monthly.
Pros
- Multiple dimensions available for reporting. We utilize project, department, product family dimensions to produce quality in-depth reporting for our business.
- Frequent releases. Sage Intacct releases updates and expansions to functionality every quarter. Many changes are beneficial driven by customer feedback.
- Enhanced Audit Trails; recent releases have expanded audit trails on most transactions. Useful for internal review and helpful for our auditors.
Cons
- Report Builder; currently, building custom reports is a multi-step process and can be time consuming versus report building in other systems. Sage Intacct has been noting that an update is on the horizon.
- Sage Intacct allows us to have consolidated system to handle Fixed Assets, General Ledger reporting, and dimension management.
We have benefited from automation within Invoice creation and are currently configuring automation within Accounts Receivable to auto-apply payments to open invoices.
We utilize the Fixed Asset Module which has seen some improvements over the past few years. Fixed Asset module integrates with Accounts Payable, allowing for automatic creation of assets during the purchasing cycle.
We migrated from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct in 2012 due to the additional functionality offered.
