Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We currently use Sage Intacct as our primary accounting system of record. The primary business problem it addressed was scale (re: growth) and easy reporting across many business units (e.g. consolidated results). We no longer spend hours trying to determine our consolidated reserve for bad debt or confirming inter-company balances are eliminated. As we acquire new business we can focus on the accounting team assimilation, not sorting out IT infrastructure and communicating back to Corporate. This allows us to hit the ground running once an acquisition is finalized.
  • Scale - we can implement the system quickly.
  • Consolidation - Clearly see results across all business units.
  • Access - From home, office, or hotel - we can easily get to work and follow up on any management inquires.
  • Fixed Assets.
  • Improving AP approval work flows.
  • IT - Cost savings re: hardware.
  • Flexible - Large network of software providers that can enhance the system.
Look, anything worth doing takes time and effort. Sage Intacct took us 3 - 4 months to implement, but then we were ready. The ramp up / leaning curve for users is mitigated with the proper implementation consultants. Spend extra time focusing on the Chart of Accounts and don't tackle to many modules at once. Focus on the core then come back to fixed assets and tax, etc. Get the basics then pick your priorities for the next leg of the roll out.
Sage Intacct had the best customer service and road map to get us live. We also wanted something in the cloud. Sage Intacct has been focused on a cloud based system for over 10 years. They wanted and knew this would work long before it became obvious.
Companies with many reporting entities would immediately see benefit using Sage Intacct. Growth companies would also see a large ROI on Intacct, once configured you can bolt on new entities quickly and easily. The Chart of Accounts is standardized and managed at the top level, which allows you to control the GL in one place.
