My experience with Sage Intacct
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
[Used] mainly by just the finance department. We have a few other departments that send in the time and expense data - but we are considering outsourcing this to a more useful tool that doesn't cost as much for the individuals to only use it for that purpose.
Pros
- Community resources
- User friendly
- Easy to navigate
- Reporting
Cons
- Time and expense
- Purchase order system
- It seems that there are many parts of the product that would be better outsourced - it would be nice if it could just be completed in Sage
- Setting up reporting
- Finance reporting is better and more immediate using Sage Intacct.
- Not sure there is a positive ROI - the cost of having Sage Intacct is quite high.

Our organization has benefited from the core financial processes of Sage Intacct. The financial process is easy to use and user friendly. We have benefited for example by being able to data enter the A/R information and Sage creating an invoice all in one step. Also, the end reporting has been very effective after the data is input.
We currently only use the time and expense management module. This module has not been as effective for us since most of our users for this module only use Sage Intacct to input expense reimbursement. We are considering reviewing third party software for this function.
7 - We had hired CLA for our implementation to Sage Intacct. I don't think we would have been able to implement Sage Intacct without a vendor to assist. With that being said...We still have an outstanding issue with the way that our AP was implemented and balancing. I have been working with CLA to get this resolved (1 1/2 years after implementation). CLA has been slow to respond.
- MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)
MIP was not user friendly and there were a lot of reporting functions that we could not use effectively and was still using an excel spreadsheet.
