Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We currently use Intacct to assist us with the financial managing of our multi-entity company. It is being utilized specifically by our accounting team, but the reports it generates are used throughout the entire organization. It was our first choice when switching over from QuickBooks to help us with consolidating our financials. It now syncs with a variety of other systems to merge financial and operational data.

Pros

  • Recurring Journal Entries
  • Consolidations
  • Integrate with some well known and very useful third party software

Cons

  • Intacct had difficulty understanding our complex business structure so we had trouble integrating.
  • Intacct could improve their reporting interface. For example, if there are thousands of reports created, you will have to scroll through them or know how to filter them.
  • The document management system within intacct exists, but is not structured in a way that would be useful unless they are attached to specific transactions.
  • It was our first choice when moving to consolidations
  • It has allowed us to create automated entries speeding up our processes
  • It has the functions to provide us with our investor reporting obligations
It is easy to look up any transactional data and navigate the system.
We use an intacct partner to provide us support and they are amazing

We selected Intacct namely for its ability to do consolidations. We had a vision for what Intacct could do for us and while we may have experienced a rough start setting it up and transferring our data over, once it was set up, it has been very useful in meeting all of our company's accounting and reporting needs.
Intacct is well suited for multi-entity companies.

Executives didn't investigate other products, but based their decision on promises.
I wouldn't have changed it at all with regards to Sage Intacct. I would have changed many other solutions to be solutions that already had direct integrations with Sage Intacct.
