Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Accounting ERP system. We use Sage Intacct as our general ledger and record all transactions in multiple companies, currencies and to consolidate. We also use it to cost and account for our inventory and for creating and tracking purchase orders/spend. The tool is very customizable and robust, however, with that it can be difficult to learn or figure things out without training or assistance. A primary issue we have is with the PO/purchasing module, whereby the subledger does not link to the general ledger. This makes it difficult to budget and/or forecast at the PO level. We also have experienced issues when integrating with 3rd party applications like BILL, Concur etc.
Pros
- General ledger accounting and recording
- Consolidation
- Customization
- Add-ons
Cons
- Purchasing/POs. It would be great if there was a way to link this subledger to the general ledger beyond using an additional dimension, like project ID
- Reporting is extensive but like other modules it is not intuitive or easy to navigate without training or assistance
- A live chat feature for support would also be helpful
- The tool is reasonably priced, especially with discounts, and punches above its weight class
- Sage Intacct integrates with most other software providers and the customizability allows businesses to grow with the tool
- We did not have a great implementation partner, however, we have still been able to utilize the tool enough to get our moneys worth and are nowhere near using it to its fullest
I like to tell people that Sage Intacct is similar to Netsuite in its ease of use (quite user friendly and easy to adopt) and significantly easier than SAP’s ERP system. It is also leaps and bounds better and more comprehensive than Quickbooks.
