Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our accounting ERP (enterprise resource product) software. We depend on Intacct for our GL entries and Cash Management. Sage Intacct dashboards also provide some basic dashboard functionality for financial analysis.

Pros

  • GL entries
  • Bank sync
  • Rule-based Journal entry automation from Bank transactions

Cons

  • Reporting is clunky
  • Dashboards are not super easy to manipulate/manage
  • No good way to automatically check that a report has a comprehensive list of all accounts.
  • Bank Recs are better
  • Month Close is cleaner
  • reporting is decent
Netsuite reporting was better and more intuitive. Sage Intacct Bank sync and Bank reconciliations are better.

Sage Intacct is solid for basic GL recording and reporting. Multiple entities gets messy. Reporting is sufficient but can get convoluted with multiple dimensions and dimension groups. It's crazy to me but pivot tables are still the easiest method for reporting.
