Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Intacct as our ERP and main use is to record accounting information in the various ledgers.
Pros
- Wide range of integrations
- Modular approach means you aren't paying for things you don't need
- Lots of dimensions gives flexibility in reporting
Cons
- Customer service could be better. Our CSMs really only reaches out for renewal. No real enablement to help us use the product better or even show us new features
- Reporting though very robust is complex to maintain and build new reports
- To make changes to workflows or processes is often complicated and not always easy to understand the necessary changes. A consultant is sometimes needed to make these
- Ability to easily consolidate numbers, saves us time at close and makes reporting easier
- Flexible reporting allows us to produce more useful reporting
- Controls over periods allows us to lock periods easily
We replaced QuickBooks Online with Intacct. The main drivers were multi-entity, reporting and controls. We evaluated Netsuite at the time and they were largely comparable from a feature standpoint. Intacct won out in the end in that they seemed to understand out business better and were able to offer only the modules we needed. Netsuite had a one size fits all option in our space which resulted in a lot of features we weren't going to use and their price reflected including those features.
