Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

It's our primary Accounting software. We use it for day-to-day entries, month-end close, monthly financials, annual budget, and presentation to our board. It's helped automate processes, create efficiencies, and make entries easier.

Pros

  • Monthly reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting
  • Budget process with Sage Intacct Planning

Cons

  • Adjusting GL structure in the system
  • Our Implementation team was very challenging. I believe a new patner has been found.
  • Support has been helpful but I think there can be additional areas of improvement/response time.
  • As we continue to grow and expand, there is no need to expand our staff as our software will allow us to take on more without adding staff.
  • We are automating processes to free up time for staff to focus on more analysis vs. entering info.
  • Our Reporting has gone from exporting data and manipulating in Excel to putting everything in Sage and providing reporting directly from our system.
The monthly bank reconciliation process has been automated and requires significantly less time. Our monthly reporting package is fully automated in Sage allowing us to send directly from the system and out to our staff.

Sage Intacct was far superior to Blackbaud / Raiser's Edge in every area.

It depends on the size of your organization. There alot of tools available and it's a great software package however it may not be necessary for every organization. Smaller companies this is probably too much for but for bigger companies, it's a great tool to utilize and maximize its capabilities.
