Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct to manage all of our accounting needs. Sage Intacct allows us to integrate all the other software we use, including DonorPerfect, BambooHR, and Expensify. Additionally, we utilize Sage Intacct's Fixed Asset module to manage our fixed assets, enabling seamless integration with our general ledger. Sage Intacct is user-friendly and intuitive, making training much easier than our previous system.

Cons

  • Cost- For nonprofits, cost is always a concern. But for me, the ROI is worth it.
  • More direct integrations - CSV uploads are acceptable for some entries, but direct integrations are preferred as they save time.
  • Sage Intacct has saved us time by streamlining approval processes.
  • Sage Intacct has provided a system that is robust but user friendly.
We certainly have benefited from the automation of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable by eliminating errors and saving time.
We had the assistance of a third-party vendor for setup, which was greatly appreciated. Having someone with much more experience in Sage Intacct was key to our quick and successful launch. While it can be done alone, I recommend having a third-party vendor.

Sage Intacct is well-suited for mid-sized nonprofits. If you are a new or young nonprofit, it may be cost-prohibitive.
