Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We sought to use Sage Intacct as our accounting solution. We were seeking a robust and easy-to-use accounting suite to support our growing organization.

Pros

  • Sage Intacct is robust. It offers a large suite of options for accounting.

Cons

  • Ultimately, in my experience, Sage Intacct onboarding and services were detrimental to our needs. We quickly moved away based on our onboarding experience. It was inept, difficult, and disappointing.
  • The user interface is bulky and not user friendly.
  • The extensive training tools were inadequate and underwhelming.
  • I would not recommend Sage Intacct as accounting software. There are many other accounting software programs that are just as robust, more user-friendly, and easier to implement.
  • Sage Intacct negatively impacted our business objectives. It delayed our systems integration with are CRM nearly a full year.
  • Secondly, Sage Intacct negatively impacted our business objectives due to the extensive cost of implementation and the software itself.
The direct API worked well. However, the interface of the core financial process was not intuitive, difficult to navigate, and underwhelming.
We did not dive into any extended modules due to the fact the core capabilities where under performing.
The third-party recommended to set up Sage Intacct was one of the most difficult and frustrating experiences I have had over my 20+ years in operations. Neither the third party nor Sage Intacct communicated effectively; the training was subpar, and the entire experience delayed our systems setup by almost a year.
We did not select Sage Intacct, but went with QuickBooks Online. A much better program- easier to set up, easier to facilitate, and better support.

I feel it is not user-friendly. The system itself is not intuitive, and its user interface is outdated.
