Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage in every aspect of Accounting. We had problem with accounting for Custom Home Building and Sage is helping greatly with it. We couldn't track AR by customer before and now we can see it clearly by customer, job or date. Our project manager and field manager can also approve the invoice/PO easily online, that saved our paper trail before moving onto Sage.
Pros
- Tracking revenue and deposit for each client
- Attaching backup invoices and tracing from check to inv to PO is easy
- It's user friendly on the approval process most of the time
- uploading journal entry is easy
Cons
- Report writing is not as robust as I thought it does takes time
- Sales tax tracking can be improved
- the original onboarding was very difficult, I'm glad that's over with.
- It is very expensive software but it is a good and solid one that can be used for a long time
- For tracking customer side it is very good
- We have reduced the amount of days for loan draw for custom from 10 to 3
AR portion has been great improvement with clarify on AR for each clients and deposit tracking was clean. The intercompany is also easy to track. The portion for the AP was fine, it's nice to be able to drill down to the invoice/PO. It gets quite complicated with different approval rules and sequence.
The combined FS was easy to do once the automated TB is created.

I have multi entity and it's great to be able to have them all listed out in one report. However, there's no ability to do elimination entries for the combined financials. I think that would be very helpful if we can do that. We do not have time mgmt module in place for our company.
We moved from Mark system because it couldn't do the customer AR and tracking.
