Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use it for full-cycle accounting. It helps to remove a lot of the manual tracking and data compilation. It provides easy to use reporting and charting features that help provide financial information in more digestible ways to our managers who aren't as comfortable reading reports. It has helped speed up our month end close significantly, and the automation between our bank and Intacct has helped us reduce reconciliation times substantially.
Pros
- Dashboards are easy to use and provide real time information
- Easy to track billing and payment throughout the system
- Easy reversals for voiding payments and reversing expense and invoice entries
Cons
- chart and reporting features could have more formatting options in the main areas rather than going into customizations. things like sorting data from largest to smallest, or grouping years together, or changing legend descriptions
- filtering on large journal entries to track down transactions more easily, rather than skipping through pages of entries. especially on opening balance journal entries at start date
- We've reduced processing time, but still waiting to see if that is recovered from the increased cost
It has been nice to have everything seamlessly flow through the system. We do not use the order management, so I can not comment on that. We use an external party for ACCOUNTS payable automation, but I am curious to see how the Sage ACCOUNTS payable automation works. I really enjoy using the automated month end journal entries. They have helped me cut down month end close time.
We do not use any of these features currently, as they are not applicable to our operations.
It is considerably better. Sage 300 was slow and cumbersome to use. Having a cloud based solution is essential to our operations, as it has greatly reduced administrative time through processing and look up. The reporting in Intacct is substantially better, including the export options. It has ensured that I never go back to a non-cloud based program again.
