Sage Intacct Review-Construction Company
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use it as our main Accounting software. It links to our Procore system as well which we use as our construction system. We use most aspects of Intacct each day. The problems it addresses are slow processing (we had Sage 300 before), automation of cash reconciliations, AP automation, report options, etc.
Pros
- Cash reconciliations/bank feeds
- Journal entries and general ledger
- Dashboards
Cons
- Project reporting
- Making financial budgets easier to use
- Project costs
- Saves a ton of time with journal entries and cash management
- Have had some trouble with finding reports to suit our needs
- Importing data can be a pain, excited for the new importing system to come into place
- Dashboard abilities for our leaders has been a great tool
We have benefited from the automation in quite a few ways. General general automatic reversal, bank feeds/cash reconciliation has saved us numerous hours, AP duplicate bill, cash smart rules. These things have saved our company numerous hours when processing everything, especially around month end when we are trying to cram everything in at once.
Our main focus is project and project accounting. We believe the reporting with projects and project costs is lacking and it is hard to find reports like we used to in Sage 300. We like the use of staff timesheets to record hours on our projects, but would like that to expand with Procore in regards to budget vs actual hours.
